LAUNCH Operation Instructions for the function of 4th Generation Instrument Replacement for Volkswagen Audi

Operation Instructions for the function of 4th Generation Instrument Replacement for Volkswagen Audi


Function Description:

Perform this function when Instrument Replacement is required.


Supported products:

Launch X431PADIII, PADV, PRO Anti-theft matching tool and other diagnostic devices + G3 programmer


Operation guide:

1. First install the original instrument, read original Anti-theft data from the function of Key Matching through OBD. Detailed operations: select [Special Features] ->

[Anti-Theft Function], read the disclaimer carefully, and click "OK" , Select [Generation 4 And Above Immobilizer System]

2. Select【Anti-theft Key Matching】

3. Select 【Key Learning】

4. Connect the diagnostic connector and Anti-theft programmer according to the information shown in the diagram, and click "OK"

5. Select 【4th Generation Immobilizer】

6. Select 【4th Generation CAN Instrument】

7. Select 【Automatic Diagnostic Type】, if the instrument type is already known, you can directly select the corresponding type to enter

8. Select 【Step 2: Read Anti-theft Data】 to read the Anti-theft data of original instrument

9. Please insert the key or place the key near the key sensing area and turn on the ignition switch, and click "OK"

10. Click "Yes" to save the Anti-theft data

11. Please input the file name, click "OK", you can also select the save path, click "OK",


12. You can view the relevant information after backed up the Anti-theft data, click "OK", (as shown in the figure below), and then directly connect the external instrument to the Anti-theft programmer and obtain the Anti-theft data of external instrument as per step 8-12, and then install the external instrument in the car;

(Note: The external instruments of some Johnson NEC95320, Motorola 9S12, Marelli NEC95320, some NEC24C32 and some NEC24C64 can be installed on the vehicle and read through OBD. For other types of instruments, the Anti-theft data can be read through the dump data, click "Dump All Lost Mode" to obtain the Anti-theft data by following the prompts, as shown below)

13. Click Return to return to the interface of function menu in shown in the images above, and select [Immobilizer Module Replacement]

14. Select [4th Generation CAN Instrument]

15. Click "OK"

16. Read the information of Instrument Replacement carefully and confirm whether to

continue

17. Read the following information carefully and check if the conditions of Instrument

Replacement are met, click "OK"

18. Select [Edit 1] to edit the Anti-theft data of external instrument

19. Click "Yes" to load the backed up Anti-theft data of external instrument, click "OK",

(as shown in the figure below), (Note: If there is no Anti-theft data, click "No" and

enter the first 6 bytes of CS of external instrument);

20. Click [Edit 2], and click "Yes" to load the backed up Anti-theft data of the target

vehicle, you can get two Anti-theft data result graphs, (as shown in the figure below),

(Note: If there is no Anti-theft data of the target vehicle, click "No" and input the

12-byte CS of external target vehicle (read through direct connection, or obtained by

other methods));

21. Click [Start Replacement]
