Function Introduction:

Guided functions have the powerful advantage of easy operation. Each guided function is a complete function integrated by multiple basic functions, saving users from the tedious search for the channel number and login code of the corresponding function. Each function has the detailed operational help information and operating condition instructions. For vehicles of different models and configurations, specific operation guidelines are provided, offering hints for corresponding operations, such as, automatic login, matching, setting, coding and etc. With these guided functions, it is equivalent to having an expert who can provide ideas, help find maintenance manuals and test functions in the maintenance process of vehicles. At present, the comprehensive diagnostic products all over the world rarely support all guided functions for VW

and AUDI.

Background for Performing the Function:

After repairing the transmission or replacing the ECU of the gearbox, it is necessary to perform gear learning and setting to the transmission again.

If you use a device that does not support guided functions, the operation shall be more complicated. It is necessary to find the corresponding data for the specific model. The vehicle should reach certain conditions. And the entry of the channel number is required to match the setting.

If you use a device supporting guided functions, you can proceed directly according to the prompts.

6-speed automatic transmission 09G

Operation Instructions

Turn on the ignition switch of the vehicle, connect the connector of Launch’s product, select the software (V28.55 or higher) for VW models. After entering, the following main menu shall be displayed.

Select “3G-Passat 2015>”

Select the model according to the following information:

Select “System Selection”

Select “02 Transmission Control Module”

Select “02 -6-speed automatic transmission 09G”

Select “0002-J217-Basic setting”

Operate according to prompts. Shift lever in P position. Select Complete/Continue

Static DTCs need to be cleared before basic setting can be made. Select Complete/Continue
